I’m proud to be a part of the Stiletto Woman Blog Tour. Make sure to take a moment to check out the other blogs on the tour. Stiletto Woman is a new-media communications and empowerment network exclusively for women.
What is Stiletto Woman all about?
Stiletto Woman, Inc. is a sassy, yet sophisticated inspirational new-media communications and empowerment network exclusively for women. Stiletto Woman represents you, me, her—it’s a community—a movement! We realize the modern woman is not just a mother, wife, or single female. She’s everything!
There are four sides to women that we focus on . . . what we call “3P&E”: personal, parenting, professional, and entrepreneurial. We approach each of these from a holistic perspective. We believe a woman can’t be defined by just one thing, because more than ever before, she’s become multi-faceted.
In addition to the magazine, we have a regular blogging community, we offer coaching, home business certification, community seminars, and finally, we have another project that we’re currently refining. We can’t give it away just yet, but it’s fresh, and original. It involves helping prepubescent girls gain the empowerment they need to make good decisions as teens and young women. Next year, Stiletto Woman Magazine will be published tri-annually, where two issues will be dedicated to real life circumstances of everyday women.
Ultimately, we represent the female who is in tune with the trends, but creates her own style. She’s a woman who wants to be in sync with her career, her business, her family, her money, the way she looks, and the way she feels. Most importantly, she’s empowered!
Who are the Top 5 women on the web we all should know about?
The top five women are Jennifer Sbranti of HostessWithTheMostess.com, Gigi Lee Chang of PlumOrganics.com, Lisa Bacon of YummyWebStudio.com (now The Moxie Pear), Sydney Loney & Nancy Ripton of JustTheFactsBaby.com, and Jennifer Threat of DoubleDutchMag.com.
These women are truly innovative. When launching this endeavor, we set out to find women who were doing amazing things with their small businesses, in various communities, and online—women who were innovative, showed great leadership, and had a desire to help others both locally and nationwide. We couldn’t be happier about the Top 50 Most Amazing Women on the Web, because they illustrate the unlimited potential we all have. They symbolize what is possible. Each woman has taken an idea and forged her own path to break new ground.
Hostess with the Mostess is not just any event and party theme site. They have a hip and modern twist that speaks to most contemporary women today. Plum Organics is taking organic baby food to new heights, and now offer products for toddlers and kids. Yummy Web Studio (now The Moxie Pear) is a stylish one-stop design studio that has a unique approach to getting online businesses off to a great start. Just the Facts Baby doesn’t simply give baby information; they have a journalistic perspective and provide expert advice that is unparallel. Double Dutch Magazine is leveraging technology to inspire African-American teen girls. They’ve built a vibrant publication that encourages girls to make a difference in the world.
You should definitely know about these ladies. They are AMAZING!
When will your special editions come out and what will be included in your special editions?
We aim to publish work that has substance—that is relatable to most. Next year, Stiletto Woman Magazine will be published tri-annually, where two issues will be dedicated to real life circumstances of everyday women.
For our premiere 2009 Amazing Women issue, you will find the ranking of the Top 50 Most Amazing Women on the Web. In addition, you can read articles about time management, living sensibly in this economy, how to be a better leader in the workplace, and more.
Our next release will be the Winter Edition, Women’s Health issue, where we learn more about how to live healthier lives from experts. You’ll find stories of women who have had health challenges—some of them have overcome, while others battle daily to conquer their medical conditions.
Subsequent to that, the Fall Edition, College Mom’s issue, will address concerns specifically related to adult education. You’ll find stories of challenge and triumph. We’ll look at issues from various perspectives, again with expert opinions to help guide and enlighten the discussion.
