Gorgeously Green: 8 Simple Steps to an Earth-Friendly Life is a book directed at women with suggestions of how to live a greener life. I was unimpressed with the book, however, because most of it’s suggestions were to immediately toss out anything “ungreen” that you already own and run out and buy a replacement. I feel that it’s far greener to use up what you already have and replace with greener alternatives as those replacements are needed. I did like the checklist at the beginning and end of the book which is a simple way to get thinking about some green alternatives. It includes items like:
If you are looking for ways to become greener, the book is worth looking through, however think of the products it suggests as future alternatives rather than immediate needs. |
