Review: Everyday Food: Great Food Fast

by Carrie on January 20, 2009

I’m thrilled with my newest addition to my cookbook collection Everyday Food: Great Food Fast.

I pulled out a pack of post-it notes to mark the recipes I wanted to try and found myself marking almost every single page (after about 10 I decided to stop marking).

All of the recipes look delicious, take only a few ingredients, and can be prepared in 10-20 minutes. Most of the ingredients are pantry or freezer items so the recipes work great with the concept of stockpile shopping. The ingredients that can’t be bought ahead of times are limited to produce and dairy. The recipes are organized seasonally so that the produce they call for are in season and therefor cheaper.

I also think this cookbook would be a great gift item and I plan on giving it to some friends as birthdays and other occasions roll around.
