Just want to remind you about today’s Groupon (available through midnight 5/31/10), you pay $10 and you get to donate $20 to a school program of your choice.
Donorschoose.org is a fabulous website that allows you to search for projects that need funding in your local public schools. I’ve donated to my former elementary school via Donorschoose.org on several occasions now.
Groupon is a web service that sends you daily emails with deals on local services and is definitely worth signing up for. I’ve used Groupon on multiple occasions in the past as well.
The Donorschoose.org deal is a bit unique. Like most Groupon deals, you get something for half price but this one is nationwide and runs for a week rather than just a day so everyone has plenty of time to get in on the action. The cost of this Groupon is also tax deductible.

So I’m trying out a new format for my blog roll page and I hope you’ll find it much more useful than before.
In case you’re not familiar with the term, a blog roll is a list of links to sites a blogger likes.
The old way had a list of sites that I had deemed relevant about a year ago and hadn’t really done much to update since.
The new way is self updating and shows the 10 most recent articles I’ve tagged as I read them in Google Reader and they’re automatically linked to the blog roll page (using Google Reader’s “add a clip to your site” function in the Folders and Tags settings in case you want to set up something similar for yourself).
I subscribe to hundreds of blogs and am constantly looking to expand my blog reading horizons so this new format will always provide you with my most recent finds without overloading you with hundreds of links to check out. If you find something you like, subscribe to their blog. If you’re looking for new content for your reader, check my blog roll for my latest favorites.
Hopefully this will provide a much more current and relevant blog roll experience for you. The best and most timeless of these posts will still be wrapped up in my bi-weekly What I’m Reading posts.
Check out the new blog roll!
