So, how did I decide to account for my raise in my budget? After taxes I’m making about $225 more per month so I added $100 to my monthly everything else budget. I changed my old ING “Fun Money” account (left all the money I had in it there) to be a “House” account to save up for buying a house maybe in about 5 years and the other $125 a month from my raise will automatically go into that account.
What’s the number one thing I want to see that extra $100 a month going towards? More organic products in the produce, meat, and dairy departments. As you can see, I spent a lot more on groceries this month than I did in months past (I also had to do all the Thanksgiving shopping even though we ate at my parents’ house since they were on vacation until the day before Thanksgiving).
My biggest purchase in November was a leather jacket which I’ve wanted for some time now. I’m 6′ tall and have extremely long arms which makes jacket shopping hard but I found out that Nordstrom offers free personal shopping service and they were able to hook me up with a tall sales associate who knew all the items in the store with extra long arms.

In addition to my regular paychecks with my 10% raise that kicked in this month, I brought in another $248 income from bank interest, blogging, iStockphoto, eBates, and rebate checks.
