Nature Valley recently came out with new Granola Nut Clusters. The Granola Nut Clusters are available in Roasted Cashew, Nut Lovers, Roasted Almond, and Honey Roasted Peanut varieties.
Nut Lovers is my favorite flavor because it has pecans and cashews in it which are my two favorite nuts. Roasted Cashew and Roasted Almond are also awesome though. The only flavor I don’t think I’d buy in the store is the Honey Roasted Peanut flavor because I’m just not a big fan of peanuts.
These nut clusters are the perfect on the go snack for me because I can fit each cluster in my mouth in one bite to avoid crumbs and the clusters are not as messy as individual pieces like a trail mix. I’m thinking these would make a very neat to eat snack for long car trips.
The only thing I don’t like about these is that they’re both high calorie and delicious. A recommended serving is 7 nut clusters and each bag is listed as containing 4.5 servings. I’d have no trouble eating a whole bag in one sitting. Maybe if they came in a bigger bag that was obviously unreasonable to eat in one sitting or small individual packages (though I hate the need for extra packaging) it’d be easier to manage serving sizes.
MyBlogSpark has given me one Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters Snack Pack to give away to an It’s Frugal Being Green reader. The Snack Pack prize pack includes full size packages of all four (4) varieties of the Granola Nut Clusters along with a sling backpack, stainless steel water bottle, hand powered flashlight and binoculars!
(Let me just mention here that I love having a stash of these freebie water bottles around for friends who may want to take some water with them if we’re headed out from my house together because I don’t buy bottled water. With freebie water bottles it’s fine if I don’t get the water bottle back and I hope I can convert them away from buying bottled water.)

These would be great going to the doctors office. The wait is always long and my 3 yr old is always soooo hungry. ;O)
These would be a great after -work snack while you’re running errands before supper!

I drive 1 hour to and from work and these clusters would be perfect to take along with me on days I forget to eat breakfast before work! Thanks.
We’re hiking the Grand Canyon next week. I’m sure they would be good for that trip!
I would eat them when I was bored and hungry at work!! Hmmm which could mean munching on them up to 8 hours a day, which could result in both weight gain and an empty bank account…. All the more reason to try to win them!!! ;P
I’m subscribed via RSS, but I actually think I need to switch to email so that it’s easier to keep up with… I’ll get on that.
We’re already twitter buddies!! @REALsaraheliza.

When I’m traveling (especially when flying) I try to pack snacks that are healthy, easy to transport and not messy. These fit the bill perfectly! Easy to pack in my carry-on bag for when hunger strikes, and helps cut down on the temptation to gorge myself at the Cinnabon in the airport food court while waiting for my flight.
helpful in the car as we are running errands and the wait at the doctors office
Those would be awesome in the epic long grad school seminars I sit through twice a week. Sounds like the perfect blend of sugar and nutty… something to keep me awake! And, I do subscribe via RSS

I am a single mom. I always run my errands on my lunch break. This turns it into a no lunch break. Yesterday I had a bag of nut clusters in my car. They saved me from some unhealthy food I may have grabbed thru a drive thru!!!
My husband and two children, ages 5 and 7, kayak whenever we can. The Nature Valley Nut Clusters would be a great energy boost and of course, the stainless steel water bottles would be better than taking plastic ones on board.
P.S. I subscribe via RSS.

These would be perfect anytime I’m watching t.v. Definitely a lot healthier than having a bowl of ice cream.
I teach violin lessons on Saturday mornings/afternoons without a break. NatureValley Nut Clusters would be the perfect snack for me to make it until 1:30 when my last lesson is over.
They’d be a perfect snack for when I’m waiting in the car for my carpool kids every morning and afternoon. I spend a lot of time waiting, it’s hard to get a parking space.

I would keep these in my desk at work. I always need a snack around 3:30 or so and these would beat the candy stash in our office.

I LOVE the cashew clusters! I take them to work to snack on, have them at home and we took them camping for an easy, delicious and filling breakfast.
Mine would go in my purse and also the laptop bag. There are days that run long and we all do better getting the job done when we aren’t starving.
i have to travel internationally sometimes, to 3rd world countries… now this would be great for that! espically compared to some of the local cuisine!!!
They would be perfect for my 12 hour night shifts when getting a break is next to impossible!!! Also, I would love a stainless steel water bottle!
What a fun giveaway – snacks, eco-friendly water bottles and binoculars sounds like the ultimate stake-out adventure pack for stalking celebrities… er um, I mean I would use it while camping out with the kids in the backyard.
And I subscribed to this mighty fine blog as well.
Everyday at 3pm at work I have a strong urge to raid the vending machine. This would be a much healthier option!
