I got a bunch of gorgeous lemons at the farmers market last weekend and limes are on sale 5/$1 at Safeway so it’s going to be a lemon-lime week. This week’s menu is going to require a lot more items I don’t already have on hand than last week’s menu so my grocery bill will be higher but I came in substantially under budget on groceries in April (about half, stay tuned for my April budget wrap up post tomorrow) so I’m going to splurge on fancier meats, produce, and cheeses this month.
- Chicken Scaloppine with Sugar Snap Pea, Asparagus, and Lemon Salad from Cooking Light May 2009, homemade bread
- Flank Steak with Lime Marinade from Everyday Food: Great Food Fast, homemade bread, salad
- Rigatoni with Goat Cheese from Everyday Food: Great Food Fast, salad
- Baking: Lemon Meringue Pie from the Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book and Lime Meltaways from Martha Stewart: Cookies
