Hey Carrie,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I didn't realize you'd left a comment asking me about Farm Fresh to You.

Yes, I still use the service. Over the last couple of months I've had some beef with it, inconsistently sized deliveries (mostly smaller/less), broken things (a beautiful yellow watermelon which was broken open and basically smashed upon arrival), etc.

Overall I really like them but didn't feel they addressed the continuing problems very well when I notified them of it. It does vary in size seasonally so when it comes November again (my 1 year anniversary with them) it'll be interesting to see the size of the shipments and if it's a fluke.

It's good quality stuff, though, I only wish I got a discount at their ferry building store for being a member, as I occasionally pick up things from there too.

Caroline

I would love if they would bring this to Southern California. There are also places around the country and in the UK setting up virtual farmer's markets that let the sellers offer their produce online with pickup at the farmer's markets. I sell my bamboo clothing at these markets every week, and I think it would be cool if people could do all their shopping online and then pick up everything up (from me and everyone else at the market) at one location.

I use a similar service available here locally: www.eatwiththeseasons.com

I can get local farm eggs, and organic goodies from local suppliers (such as happygirlkitchen.com--who makes the best preserved tomatoes!) along with my box. And I get to decide what goes in everyweek...and how much. Although, sniff, we don't have cherries offered....so I'll need to look into your CSA....

I've been in 4 different ones over the years...and I must say, I much prefer ones that let you choose what you get!

Looks fabulous. I admit I am jealous--here in the midwest the local food is mostly limited to greens & radishes so far. Ah, but hopefully there will be some strawberries this weekend!
