Drugstore Deals 6/21

Drugstore Deals 6/21

After several weeks of mediocre deals, I feel like this week was unusually good.

CVS/Longs

Soy Joy bars are on sale for $1 each. You also get a $4 ECB for every 4 you buy, limit 5 so 20 bars total. I used 2 $2/10 coupons.

Clear Care is $8.99 with a $2 ECB and there is a $3/1 coupon out there. Works out to $0.33/oz which is lower than the Costco price of $0.44/oz. This deal is limit 2 but I only had 1 coupon and it’s only a better deal than Costco with the coupon and the ECB.

I also used a $4/$20 purchase coupon that had printed out on the bottom of a recent receipt.

My total was $18.45 and I got $22 ECB back.

Rite Aid

Suave deodorant is $1.99 with a $1.50 rebate and there is a $0.75/1 coupon that can be used. Works out to $0.26 overage.

Crest Pro Health Enamel Shield 4.2 ounce toothpastes are $2.69 with a $2.69 rebate which makes them free. There is a $0.50/1 coupon that can be used in addition for a $0.50 overage.

Total paid in the store was $3.43 and I’ll get a $4.19 rebate. (Don’t forget to request your rebate at the end of the month, I just noticed I hadn’t requested May’s rebate yet as I was entering this receipt.)

Walgreens

Aquafresh Advanced Toothpastes are $3 with a $3 RR. There is also a $0.75/1 coupon in this week’s newspaper that can be used.

Coke 12 packs are 4/$13 with a $3 RR which makes them $2.50 each which is my normal target price. These also acted as filler items so I could roll a $3 RR from last week and use a $3/$10 purchase coupon I had received in a home mailer trying to get me to transfer my prescriptions to Walgreens (which is silly since Walgreens doesn’t even take my insurance).

Total spent was $11.65 and I got $6 back in RR.

What is ECB?

ECB = Extra Care Buck. It’s a coupon you can use on a future purchase at the store valid for one month.
