eBates

by Carrie on May 14, 2010

ebateseBates payments for the first quarter of 2010 should be arriving any moment now.

This time around I’m receiving $29.03 via Paypal (and they’re set up so that no Paypal fees get taken out of that amount which is nice). This quarter I shopped at drugstore.com, iTunes, J. Crew, Vision Direct and Vista Print.

I’ve been a member of eBates since 2004 and have now received a total of $523.19 in cash back just for clicking through their site before placing orders I’d be making anyway.

If you’re not already a member it’s definitely worth signing up. If you’re planning to sign up I suggest you use one of my eBates links so that we both get $5 when you make your first purchase.

Groupon offers daily deals on local food, entertainment, shopping, and services in 57 metro areas. Sign up for their emails and each weekday you’ll be alerted to a great offer in your area. If you see an offer you like, jump on it because it’s only available that same day.

Most offers are about 50% off their regular price but I’ve seen some as high as 75% off.

I’ve purchased and redeemed one Groupon offer so far and it’s very easy. You pay via Groupon and the Groupon site contains all the information you need to redeem it. I got a massage and all I needed to do was book my appointment with the confirmation number on my Groupon and show up.

Skin LogicI subscribe to the emails for the San Jose, CA area and wanted to share today’s deal with you. I love spa services but usually they’re way, way out of my budget so they’re my favorites to see on Groupon.

Today only, you can get an Organic Facial at the Skin Logic spa in Willow Glen for $40 (regularly priced at $85).

Groupon offers have to “tip”, which means they need to meet a minimum number of people grabbing the offer for it to happen (you don’t pay anything if the minimum is not met). The minimum of 50 people for today’s offer has already been met so if you’re interested in this one, it’s on for sure.

Regardless of whether you’re in the San Jose area or not, I highly recommend that you sign up for your area’s daily emails. I’ve been very pleased with what I’ve seen so far.
